Maternity Photos

Its not very often you get those life long friends but that's what Carla is. When she told me she was pregnant I was overjoyed for her & her husband Cameron even more so when I found out they were having twins!

I texted Carla a few days before we had planned to do photos to make sure she was still feeling well enough to do them only to find out she was at the hospital possibly in labour.

Luckily the twins decided to stay put a little longer & we were able to sneak in a quick session before they were born.

The Plan

We had originally planned on doing photos in the mountains. The snow covered peaks are the perfect backdrop for any type of photos but due to the twins wanting to come early we decided to pick a location closer to home just in case.

The Day Of

As normal in Alberta winters it was cold with a slight wind but we were lucky & it was a warmer day then most for this time of year.

Both of them were troopers for braving the cold in minimal clothing & for all the walking they did. We decided to keep it short & sweet not wanting Carla to get to chilly.

Im so thankful for these two for many reasons. For trusting me to do their photos, for being that couple I've always looked up to & of course for having me be apart of their momentous journey into parenthood.

I don't think I've ever seen a couple more in love than these two & it shows in their photos.
