Yoga at Dinosaur Park

I'm always beyond excited when someone comes to me with something different but when Rachel suggested yoga at Dinosaur Provincial Park I was thrilled! Not only did I know that the hoodoos would be a cool backdrop for some cool yoga poses I had never done a shoot like this before.

I was excited for the challenge of not being able to pose her. Yes I choose where we went but she would pick somewhere she could do the pose she had in, mind safely. I would frame her then she would do her flow routine to get into the correct pose. All I really had to do was click.

It was difficult to give up some of the control but it was so worth it for the amazing photos me got.

Hiking

ree

We met up Sunday morning & drank coffee

as we drove out to dinosaur park. Laced up our hiking shoes & I began showing her some of my favourite views on the hikes I do.

I really enjoy doing little hikes for photos because some spots she picked I would have walked right past like I have done many times while out there & not gave it a second thought. When you take someone somewhere new that you think is beautiful they'll show you the things you might have missed showing a whole new reason the place is magical.

Hard work

Rachel sure is a trooper. She put in a ton of stretching, holding & posing so I could get the best shots, all in hiking shoes too! I know that was definitely a work out then add on top the hiking we actually did!

The photos definitely show the hard work she has put in to be able to do these poses.

We ended our photos with a little walk by the river. We hadn't really intended on taking to many photos along this path but when we came to a clearing in the trees the light was perfect. We had to do a few more shots.

I'm glad people like Rachel trust me try do something I've never had the opportunity to attempt yet without people like her I wouldn't be able to grow & become a better photographer.
