The Planning

Darren has is one of my long time friends so when I found out he was going to propose to his girlfriend I was beyond excited. Even more so when he asked me to be apart of it.

He wanted to surprise her & have the whole thing photographed. Now the tricky part. How to get her photo ready without suspicion of what was about to happen.

Darren wanted to propose on their anniversary & had the brilliant idea to tell her he booked couples photos to celebrate. That way she wouldn't suspect anything other than photos.

The Day Before

Darren knew he wanted to pop the question somewhere special to them & it turned out Laura's first trip to Brooks the two of them took a trip out to Dinosaur Provincial Park.

My love for Dinosaur Park was definitely an asset. Location scouting for the perfect spot for photos was easy but how could it not with these views?

The Proposal

The tricky part was making sure she didn't know it was coming. We made sure to take a few photos of each of them solo. That was it would be less obvious when we set up for the actual moment.

My job was easy. Darren knew the perfect spot was at the look out where you can see all of the badlands & of course I agree. This is where they took their first photo together.

About Me

IMG_1545.jpg

I'm a southern Alberta based photographer who has a passion for adventure. Weather its a trip to the badlands or the mountains I always have my camera in hand & sometimes I even remember to take the lens cap off before I try to take photo.
